More images from the archives. This photo was taken in Corona, Queens (yes, one of the outer boroughs), the one that New York Magazine still hasn't recognized as a part of New York City (thank g*d). I believe it was taken sometime in the 1930s. Just adore the expressions on each of these kids. One of my mother's treasures. Still finding pics between the books, still need another shelf ...
