the past is the present

"None of us can help the things life has done to us."
- Long Day's Journey Into Night

I wasn't able to complete the continuation of yesterday's post today. I wound up watching the wonderful that was on last night about , my favorite playwright of all time (with Arthur Miller a close second ...). Was lucky enough to see Long Day's Journey Into Night on stage a couple of years ago with (another fave), Brian Dennehy, and Vanessa Redgrave, they were all fabulous. It is such a raw and passionate piece of writing, after having read it three or four times, to see it performed was an incredible thrill. The documentary will be replayed Sunday, April 2, if you missed it last night.
